Loren Rhoads photo copyHello Loren, tell us about your book.

Lost Angels is about a succubus named Lorelei who decides to bring down an angel. Azaziel turns around and possesses her with a mortal girl’s soul. Lorelei and the ghost become friends as they contend with demons, harpies, fiends, and Lorelei’s grudge-holding sister as they try to find an exorcist who can separate the two of them again. The book sashays across the line between dark urban fantasy and erotic horror with some romance thrown in.

Tell us about your writing process. How do you fuel your writing?

This book was different than the others I’ve written because it was a collaboration. I’d worked with other people before on short stories, but a book is a completely different animal. The funny part is that Lost Angels was meant to only be a short story. I wrote The Angel’s Lair a scene at a time, sending one each day to Brian. It was scary to show someone my rough drafts like that, but because I knew he was waiting for it, it was the fastest I’d ever written a story. Little did I know that Brian was biding his time, ready to jump in and extend the story! As soon as I wrote “The End,” Brian picked up the thread. He wrote the scenes where Ashleigh, the mortal girl, dies and then continued on into the possession ritual. I was blown away. I’d never conceived of a mortal possessing a devil before. Read more

Author Interview: Drew Sera

Today I am happy to introduce author Drew Sera.

fragileWhat’s the best advice you’ve received as a writer?

The best advice I’ve received as a writer has easily been to write what I want. When I first started writing I worried about content and it not fitting into the box of “rules” or “requirements.” I worried that a publisher may not pick it up because of “this” or “that.” By writing exactly what I want, it ensures me complete satisfaction with the content.

What genre(s) do you write in? Tell us about your books.

I’m writing contemporary erotic/romance. My book series is called The Everett Gaming Series and currently consists of five books with a possible sixth and seventh book to follow. The series will chronicle the journey of a male Dominant, Colin Everett, in the BDSM lifestyle. The dark series will focus on the difficult road that Colin will venture down as he becomes immersed in the life of a tortured, young submissive. The cover art for The Everett Gaming Series will feature the talented and gifted photography of Depraved Eros. Depraved Eros has a natural ability to capture emotions with a camera lens and each photo is a captivating work of art. Read more

Author Interview: Mary E. Buras Conway

Today I am excited to have romance author Mary E. Buras Conway on my blog.
JpegWhat genre do you write in? Tell us about your books.
My first releases are romance strongly on the erotic side. A Temptation is the first book in my Discover Trilogy. It is the story of India Leigh and Kellan Coventry. Two people on the opposite ends of the spectrum. It is about how people so opposite can come together and compliment each other. Through the trilogy you will see how such opposite viewpoints can not win without major strife.
What book are you promoting right now? What is it about?
Right now A Temptation is the one available. Again the story is about two people coming together with a crash of different beliefs. Totally different viewpoints on what they each want as far as their futures and personal life’s. Also about the devastating consequences of keeping secrets.
How did you come up with the idea for your current story?
I love fantasy/romance genre-among others. I had a fantasy series all outlined, and then I had a dream that I remembered. In it was a spark that ignited ta for my Discover Trilogy.
